In a bid to improve on safe drinking water and Sanitation in the country, the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation has held a Quarterly WASH Sector Coordination meeting with its Agencies and NGO Partners at the Brookfield’s Hotel in Freetown.
Delivering her keynote address, the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation Dr Sao-Kpato Hannah Isata Macarthy stressed the need for stronger collaboration for effective service delivery.
She pointed out that the government is currently embarking on a Master plan geared with a Water Fund of 20 million dollars which will soon be lunched by H.E President Julius Maada Bio.
The Minister pointed out that there is no doubt that the political Will is around to support the Water Sector in the country.The Minister was delighted at the turn out of partners in the in the WASH Sector for gracing the occasion.
The Deputy Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation engineer Francis Kallon did a presentation depicting policies and deliverables in the Water Sector.
The UNICEF Representative, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education gave brilliant contributions towards the Water Sector whilst the Senior Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Brima . M. Sowa chaired the ceremony
